Ukrainian Defense Ministry tells about Ukrainian and Russian losses on the battlefield

It is reported that one of the main tasks is the destruction of the enemy's physical strength.

"Unfortunately, losses are an inevitable consequence of war. You can’t do without them. But the losses of the enemy are many times greater," Malyar writes.

The deputy minister reminded that the Russian troops have an advantage in the number of personnel and weapons, while at the same time, there are more casualties in Russia.

"Their losses were higher in 2014-2015 as well, but now the ratio has almost doubled in our favor. Some days, in the East, the ratio reaches 1 to 10. Of course, it doesn’t happen every day, and the average ratio is lower, but still," concluded Malyar.

• On March 29, the General Staff reported that, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 172,340 military personnel, 3,609 tanks, 306 aircraft and 291 helicopters in Ukraine.

• The Russian army will continue to suffer heavy losses, but the mobilization affects Russian regions differently: the death rate of militants from the east is more than 30 times higher than from Moscow.

• On March 23, the Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Russia seeks to capture Bakhmut at any cost, but the Armed Forces will be able to take advantage of their losses.
