Despite losses, Russia keeps trying to capture Bakhmut at any cost - commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces
Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia seeks to capture Bakhmut at any cost, but AFU will be able to take advantage of Russia's losses
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense reports this on its telegram channel.
Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Russian Federation does not leave hopes of capturing the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region at any cost, despite the loss of manpower and equipment.
"The main forces of the Russian Federation in this area are representatives of the Wagner PMC. Sparing no effort, they are losing significant strength and running out of steam. Very soon, we will take advantage of this opportunity, as we did in the past near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Balakliia and Kupiansk," the Ground Forces Commander emphasized.
