Ukrainian Defense Forces destroy 1,190 Russian troops in one day at frontline - General Staff

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to November 19, 2023, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation: Ukrainian Armed Forces hold positions on the left bank of Kherson region

According to the General Staff, 71 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the past day. Defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire on the enemy.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian military maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted assault operations near Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces conducted an assault near Torske in Donetsk region but were unsuccessful.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 8 attacks near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are also continuing their assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian invaders keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are holding steadfastly, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The enemy's offensive actions east of Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 26 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks there.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region. The Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian troops conducted assault operations near Robotyne, Novoprokopivka and west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region, but were unsuccessful.

In the Melitopol direction, The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting Russian troops.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian troops are engaged in counter-battery combat, inflicting fire on the enemy's rear.

Russian troops attacked Ukraine with drones at night, Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted 6 air strikes on areas of invaders' concentration

Over the past day, the Russian occupiers launched an airstrike against Ukraine using Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. As a result of combat operations, air defense forces and means destroyed 29 out of 38 attack UAVs. In addition, on the night of November 19, the enemy again attacked our country with Shaheds. 15 out of 20 enemy drones were destroyed.

In total, the enemy launched 5 missile strikes and 76 air strikes and fired 50 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The following were hit by air strikes: Stepok, Sumy region; 4 settlements in Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; 8 settlements in Donetsk region; Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia region; Tiahynka, Kherson region.

More than 150 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian missile forces hit 3 control points, 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an artillery unit and an enemy ammunition depot.

The day before, the General Staff said that about 20 Russian soldiers had deserted in the area of Krynky, Kherson region. The Russian invaders left their combat positions without permission.
