Ukrainian border guards target Wagner mercenaries in Bakhmut's industrial zone

"During the day, a fierce confrontation between border guards and Wagner mercenaries continued in one of the industrial zones of Bakhmut. The attackers used artillery to support the assault. Despite constant shelling, border guard soldiers repelled two enemy assaults: 8 invaders were neutralized and the same number were wounded," the statement said.

• British intelligence noted that the Russian army has temporarily depleted its offensive potential.

• National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov assesses the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Bakhmut, Donetsk region, as unlikely. The military will hold the city as long as possible.
