Ukrainian border guards seize Russian troops' position with the help of mortars near Bakhmut

They indicate that Ukrainian defenders of Bakhmut are actively using available heavy weapons for defense and counterattacks near this fortress city.

In addition, it is reported that yesterday, January 22, one of the border units, which had recently withstood a series of Russian assaults, moved forward and took the Russian troops' position. Fire support for counterattacks was provided by the border combat groups of mortars.

"Under the powerful influence of fire damage, Russian occupying forces abandoned their line and fled. Our fighters cleared the area and gained a foothold on it. Russian losses are being clarified," the press service said.
