Ukrainian border guards repel Russia attack in Avdiivka sector

The Ukrainian State Border Guard Service's press service reported this. 

“The assault on Ukrainian positions was preceded by artillery fire. The enemy forces dropped some ammunition from the drones with irritant aerosols. Then the invaders, supported by tanks and armored vehicles, launched an attack,” the report says. 

“The battle lasted about ten hours. During this time, our defenders destroyed 30 Russian servicemen, 2 tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, as well as an armored personnel carrier,” they added.

• Earlier, invading Russian forces hit a shelter in a former hospital in Avdiivka.
