Ukrainian aviation strikes Russian strongholds - Operational Command South

The Ukrainian military has carried out strikes on Russian strongholds in Blagodatne and Pravdyne districts, according to the Operational Command South.

This was reported in the Operational Command South (OC South).

The military notes that enemy aviation has become more active. Also, Russian forces shelled the outskirts of Kostroma from Grad launchers. 

"Twice pairs of Su-25 attack aircraft attacked populated areas of the Berislav district. The enemy attacked our positions five times with pairs of helicopters. There were no losses. In the middle of the day, the southern suburbs of Kostroma were fired upon by the Grad rocket salvo fire system. One person was killed, one was wounded, 3 private houses and power lines were damaged. Our army aircraft struck two enemy strongholds in the Blagodatne and Pravdyne districts," the message reads.

According to the results of firing missions by missile and artillery units, the following Russian losses were ensured:

  • 31 Russian soldiers

  • Tank T-72

  • Gvozdika and Msta-B howitzers

  •  2 mortars

  • 3 armored and automotive equipment

  • 1 reconnaissance drone

The military also confirmed information about the destruction of the command post of the 22nd Army Corps of the Coastal Forces of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
