Soldiers of the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol successfully destroy Russian manpower and equipment
The brigade reported the information on its Facebook page, Espreso TV informed.
"The soldiers of the 44th Brigade are liberating Ukraine from the invaders. He who comes with a sword will die by the sword. Glory to Ukraine," the soldiers' caption to the video reads.
As can be seen in the video, Ukrainian fighters destroyed a Russian infantry fighting vehicle, a mortar crew and a combat center.
Background. The 44th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol is a military unit within the artillery troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Their place of dislocation is Ternopil. The brigade belongs to the West operational command.
It was formed after the beginning of Russian aggression, in the fall of 2014. It fought for Bakhmutka and near Debaltseve.
The brigade is named after Hetman Danylo Apostol, the Hetman of the Zaporozhian Army, the head of the Hetmanate in the Left Bank Ukraine in the 18th century.
