Ukrainian army shoots down 39 Shahed kamikaze drones, two Orlan UAVs and X-59 missile at night 

This was reported by the Air Forces’ press center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The Ukrainian Air Forces’ air defense, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, all 39 attack UAVs were destroyed by combat work," the statement reads.

Also, the defenders of the sky destroyed two drones of the operational-tactical level "Orlan-10" and a guided aircraft missile X-59.

Anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack. The equipment and weapons provided to Ukraine by our Western partners are increasingly being used.

Ukrainian Air Defense destroyed 39 Shaheds kamikaze drones, two Orlan-10 UAVs and an X-59 missile

On January 1-2, the Russian forces launched a massive strike with Iranian-made Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones.

The Ukrainian Air Forces’ air defense, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, all 39 attack UAVs were destroyed by combat work.

Anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Forces and mobile fire groups were involved in repulsing the attack. Equipment and weapons provided to Ukraine by our Western partners are increasingly involved.

Also, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed two UAVs of the operational-tactical level Orlan-10 and a guided aircraft missile X-59.
