Ukrainian army repels 9 attacks in Marinka sector over last day – General Staff

The General Staff's report for September 30 states this.

There were 24 combat engagements during the day

Russia again attacked Ukraine, using about 40 Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike drones from the south. Air defense forces destroyed 30 enemy Shaheds in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia regions. In total, the enemy launched 8 missile and 71 air strikes, fired 17 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 25 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in frontline Ukrainian regions

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched an air strike near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region, 6 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian forces tried unsuccessfully to regain their lost ground near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. They carried out air strikes near Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region. Over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks near Novoselivka, east of Stepove and Avdiivka in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike near Avdiivka. More than 10 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 9 attacks in the area of Marinka, Donetsk region. Almost 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 15 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, about 50 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

Ukrainian Armed Forces continue offensive operation

The Ukrainian army continues offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 14 strikes on the areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, 8 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops destroyed 6 anti-aircraft missile systems and 9 Russian artillery systems.
