Ukrainian army destroys 4 tanks, 16 artillery systems and 350 Russian servicemen in one day – General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to September 16, 23 are estimated to be as follows:

Ukrainian forces succeed in Klishchiivka area in Donetsk region and push the Russian troops back in the south

Thus, according to the General Staff, 24 combat clashes took place on the frontline over the past day.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, in the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces still keep a group of troops protecting the state border, conduct active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous areas, and increase the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group on the Bakhmut directions, the Russian army tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Yahidne and Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region to no avail. In turn, the Defense Forces succeeded in offensive (assault) operations in the area of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the Russian invaders carried out unsuccessful offensives in the area of Marinka, Donetsk region. Here, over the past day, they made 13 unsuccessful attempts to force Ukrainian units out of their positions. In addition, all enemy attacks in the area of Urozhaine, Donetsk region, resulted in significant losses for the occupiers in both manpower and equipment.

At the same time, in the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the initiative, putting pressure on the Russian enemy, conducting assault operations and recapturing Ukrainian territory.

In the Melitopol direction, the Defense Forces continue their offensive, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, forcing them to withdraw from their positions. As a result of the assault operations, the Defense Forces have partial success in the areas of Verbove and Novoprokopivka in Zaporizhzhia region, pushing the Russian units out of their positions and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to carry out counter-battery combat, destroy supply depots and successfully strike at Russia's rear.

Russia conducted 59 air strikes against Ukraine

In addition, the Russian army fired 36 times from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects. The invaders attacked the country with 17 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, all of which were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense.

Two settlements in Chernihiv region; two in Kharkiv region; five in Luhansk region; seven in Donetsk region; and two in Zaporizhzhia region were subjected to air strikes.

Over 100 settlements in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
