In Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders are setting up firing positions in the civilians' private yards. Russian army units fighting between Bakhmut and Soledar suffer significant losses

The General Staff emphasizes that the Russian invaders cynically continue to violate international humanitarian law: they are forcibly living with civilians in their homes, using civilians as human shields.

Thus, in the village of Nove in Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops are using private yards where civilians live as firing positions to deploy military equipment and personnel.

Russia keeps suffering significant losses. It has been established that the 200th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 14th Army Corps of the Northern Fleet Coastal Troops of the Russian Federation, which is taking part in the fighting between Bakhmut and Soledar, has high combat losses of personnel, both sanitary and irrecoverable.

In the city of Pervomaisk, Luhansk region, a military hospital has been set up in the central city hospital, where over 200 Russian servicemen, mostly from the 200th Brigade, are being treated. The unit's personnel have a low morale and lack motivation to continue fighting.

Defense forces repelled attacks near Klishchiivka, Avdiivka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region

Meanwhile, 25 combat clashes took place on the frontline over the past day.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, in the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a military presence in the border areas, actively conduct sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous areas, and increase the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

The Russian troops did not launch any offensives (assaults) in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group on the Kupyansk and Lyman directions.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 5 Russian attacks near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, where the Russian enemy was trying to regain its lost ground.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled Russia's attacks near the settlements of Avdiivka and Sieverne in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Marinka, Donetsk region, where they made 10 unsuccessful attempts to force Ukrainian units out of their positions during the day. In addition, they tried to regain the lost position in the area of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, but had no success.

At the same time, in the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line and protect Ukraine's territory from the occupiers.

In the Melitopol direction, the defense forces continue their offensive, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, continuing to consolidate their positions and exhausting the Russian enemy.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to wage counter-battery combat, destroying warehouses and successfully striking at Russia's rear.

Russia fired 14 missiles and 24 drones at Ukraine, and the Ukrainian forces struck at Russian concentration areas 11 times

Thus, yesterday, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 12 Kalibr cruise missiles, 2 P-800 Oniks anti-ship missiles and 24 Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs at the port infrastructure of Odesa region and other civilian infrastructure. As a result of successful combat operations, the Air Forces and Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 11 Kalibr cruise missiles and all 24 hostile Shaheds.

In addition, last night, Russia again attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

Russia launched 16 missile and 72 air strikes, fired 65 times from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects in Ukraine. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private homes, apartment buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes targeted 1 locality in Chernihiv region; 2 in Sumy region; 3 in Kharkiv region; 4 in Luhansk region; 8 in Donetsk region; 2 in Zaporizhzhia region; and 4 settlements in Kherson region.

Nearly 150 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Meanwhile, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on areas of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, as well as 7 strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops struck 9 artillery units, an area of concentration of personnel and military equipment, an ammunition depot and Russia's electronic warfare station.
