Ukrainian army consolidates several footholds on Dnipro River's left bank — Navy's Marine Corps Command
The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction. Ukrainian marines managed to consolidate several footholds
The Marine Corps Command reported the information.
"As a result of pre-planned measures to repel the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction. Thanks to the courage and professionalism of the Ukrainian marines in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces, they managed to secure several footholds," the statement said.
The command noted that in the course of the fighting, the Russian forces lost 1,216 personnel, and 2,217 soldiers were wounded. Ukrainian marines destroyed 24 Russian tanks, 89 artillery systems and mortars, 135 units of various vehicles, 48 armored fighting vehicles, including armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, 9 MLRS, 14 watercraft, 15 units of special equipment, 4 command posts, 29 ammunition depots, both field and stationary.
In addition, a combined electronic warfare unit of the Ukrainian Marines neutralized 135 FPV drones and 5 tactical UAVs.
- Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believe that the Russian military command may have instructed Russian state media to publish and then retract reports of a regrouping of troops in the Kherson region as part of an information operation. Its purpose is to make Ukrainian forces underestimate the available Russian manpower on the left bank of the Kherson region.
