Ukrainian Armed Forces strike Russia's southern positions
On July 17, Ukrainian armed forces carried out several strikes against the occupying Russian forces in southern Ukraine, neutralizing a Russian stronghold, an ammunition supply point, military equipment and military personnel.
The Operational Command South shared the news.
Russian forces planned to launch an airstrike on the liberated settlements of the Kherson region, but they retreated after attacking Ukrainian positions.
"Instead, our attack aircraft twice inflicted fire damage on a support point, an ammunition supply point, and on the accumulation of enemy manpower, weapons, and equipment in the area of Blagodatne and Davydiv Brid," the message reads.
During the day in the southern direction, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized:
-
36 Russian soldiers;
-
2 Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes;
-
3 communication machines of the strategic and operational links of management;
-
1 Podlit radar station;
-
11 armored and automotive equipment.
The military added that Russian forces are limited in launching hostilities due to personnel demoralization, logistical problems and the accurate work of Ukrainian missile and artillery units.
