Ukrainian Armed Forces start new exercise course in Spain on Hawk air defense system
Several dozen Ukrainian servicemen have begun training in Spain to use the Hawk anti-aircraft missile system as part of the European Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine
The Spanish Ministry of Defense reports.
"As part of Spain's commitment to help Ukraine in its self-defense capabilities, the anti-aircraft artillery regiment No. 74 has been reassigned to conduct another exercise to train Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in the tasks associated with the operation of the Hawk air defense system," the statement reads.
Complex theoretical and practical exercises are being held in Dos Hermanas (Seville).
The Spanish Ministry of Defense noted that the Spanish Armed Forces have established a training coordination center in Toledo to implement the European Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine.
"Depending on the operational command, it has its headquarters in Burgos and supervises the work of the army, navy and aerospace units in accordance with the commitments signed by Spain. Some of them are permanent, while others teach special courses to meet Ukraine's needs, as with the Hawk anti-aircraft system course," the Spanish Defense Ministry said.
