Withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces from Avdiivka is not on table - military officer Morozov
Svoboda (Freedom) Legion officer, Ministry of Internal Affairs Major Maksym Morozov notes Avdiivka is breaking records in terms of eliminating the Russian troops in manpower and equipment
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The enemy conducts massive attacks every day. The invaders are sending a huge number of infantry to storm Avdiivka. If the Russian military refuse to attack, they are demonstratively shot in front of the line. Russia still has a mobilization resource. We are now seeing a new reserve from which Russians are beginning to take mobilized people - illegal immigrants and migrants who are being forcibly mobilized. Indeed, Avdiivka is breaking records in terms of eliminating the enemy in manpower and equipment. The enemy is trying to encircle Avdiivka, but this is not a new plan for Ukrainian defenders," Morozov noted.
According to Svoboda Legion officer, the enemy's intention to cut Avdiivka off into a pocket did not arise today. Avdiivka has been under the threat of encirclement since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. "Russians have been claiming to have taken the city for 2 years. So now we do not have to leave Avdiivka. Of course, the situation is critical in the north and in the industrial area. But there are field commanders of each brigade, and only by agreeing together is any retreat or withdrawal to the second line possible. But no one is talking about the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Morozov emphasized.
- Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Yevhen Iievliev noted the Russians concentrated manpower not only near Horlivka or Avdiivka, but stretched it along the entire eastern front line.
