Ukrainian Armed Forces repel over 90 Russian attacks - General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a morning briefing on March 15.

A day of air strike alerts and missile terrorism

During the day, the enemy carried out 40 air strikes, 12 missile strikes and fired more than 100 times from multiple launch rocket systems. One of the missile strikes hit the city of Kramatorsk, damaging a three-story residential building, causing deaths and injuries among the local population. Another missile strike took place in the town of Zatoka, Odesa region, where rocket fragments damaged one of the buildings of the Zolota Rybka children's educational institution. There were no casualties among the local population. The enemy also launched a missile attack on a civilian infrastructure facility in Ivanivka, Kherson region. There were casualties among the local population and at least one private house was damaged.

Russian occupiers in Horlivka received an order to conduct another wave of mobilization in the city to replenish the units that were temporarily withdrawn from the combat zone due to loss of combat capability. It is planned to mobilize about 500 people from those categories who previously received reservations due to limited or complete unfitness for military service.

AFU repelled over 90 enemy attacks

Thanks to professional and coordinated actions, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 90 enemy attacks.

At the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops maintain its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine to prevent Ukrainian units from being redeployed to other areas. During the previous day, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. The invaders fired artillery at 4 settlements along the contact line in Kharkiv and 7 settlements in Luhansk regions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy keeps trying to capture the city of Bakhmut, where constant positional fighting continues. At the same time, our defenders repelled enemy attacks near Yahidne, Khromove and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

At the Avdiivka, Marinka and Kurakhove directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of Kamianka, Nevelske, Novokalynove, Sievierne, Pervomayske, Novomykhailivka, Pobieda and Vodiane in the Donetsk region. 

Over the last day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 9 strikes on the areas of invaders' concentration, 3 strikes on the enemy's deployment sites and 3 strikes on other important occupiers' objects. 

Missile and artillery units struck 3 areas of enemy personnel concentration, 3 control points of Russian army units and destroyed a deployed enemy air defense position.
