Ukrainian Armed Forces repel more than 170 attacks, while Russians set up anti-tank barriers in Belgorod Oblast

This is reported by the AFU General Staff.

The military said that the enemy continues to install anti-tank barriers in the border areas of the Belgorod region, Russia.

AFU repel at least 170 Russian attacks, as well as strike 17 Russian military personnel and equipment positions

On March 1, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 170 enemy attacks in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Vuhledar directions.

Ukrainian aviation carried out 16 strikes on the Russian military positions. Defenders shot down a Russian Orlan-10 UAV. Missile and artillery units hit 1 Russian personnel position, 2 ammunition depots, and 3 critical targets.

Russia is focused on 5 directions and have launched 14 missile strikes on Ukraine

Russia concentrates on conducting offensive in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions.

Russian forces launched 14 rocket attacks on civilian objects in Kharkiv, Poltava and Donetsk regions, injuring civilians and damaging residential buildings. Russians carried out 21 airstrikes, including 2 Shahed-136 attacks and 58 MLRS attacks. The drones were shot down. 

The threat of Russian missile attack remains throughout the territory of Ukraine.

Shelling of Ukraine's regions

The operational situation on the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders remains unchanged. The enemy is keeping its units near the state border of Ukraine, but no offensive groups have been detected. 

During the day, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks at 2 settlements in Chernihiv region; 9 in Sumy region and 9 in Kharkiv region. A UAV with a combat load was used in the Kharkiv region. 

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the vicinity of 3 settlements, but did not succeed. Russians fired artillery near 10 settlements in Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russians continue to advance. They do not stop storming the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled the attacks in the area of 4 settlements. The enemy attacked 9 settlements of Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions, they carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of 5 settlements. They shelled the areas of 10 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, in some areas Russian troops are trying to create conditions for an offensive. Invaders conduct artillery shelling of more than 45 districts of populated areas.
