Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff appeale to Belarusians: Russia prepares terrorist attack on Ostrovets nuclear power plant
Ukrainian Armed Forces call on Belarusians to inform the world community about suspicious actions, transport and people near critical infrastructure facilities of the country: Russian special services prepare provocations.
Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff states in address to the citizens of Belarus.
"Citizens of the Republic of Belarus! Russian special services prepare provocations on your territory. The goal of their terrorist attacks may be objects of critical infrastructure, in particular Ostrovets nuclear power plant", the message informs.
Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff emphasizes that today Russia allows itself to use nuclear blackmail: it seizes power plants, interferes with the work of personnel, demonstrates shelling and disconnection of Zaporizhzhia NPP.
"Their methods are not new: terror, intimidation, operations under foreign flag - all this is used with one goal - to draw Belarus into a war with Ukraine by any means. To divide our nations with blood and hatred. But do the people of Belarus need a Russian war of aggression?" representative of Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff addresses.
In particular, it was about citizens demanding compliance with Article 18 of the Constitution of Belarus, which excludes military aggression from its territory against other states.
"Monitor all suspicious activities, appearance of suspicious strangers, transport near critical infrastructure. Report such facts to your law enforcement agencies, if you do not see their reaction - inform the world public by all available means," Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff urges.
Ukrainian Armed Forces summarize that Ukraine did not respond to any manifestation of Belarusian military aggression, and does not plan to do so on the territory of Belarus.
"Today, a lot depends on each person. We hope for your alertness, understanding of the situation, principled and strong response to any provocations. We believe in our victory and the future world in which our people will once again be able to live in good neighborly relations," the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff representative concluded.
