Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Anatoliy Shtefan (Shtirlitz) reported the information on Telegram.
"Sergei Durakov had good combat experience. He was imprisoned for drunken driving, theft, torture with particular cruelty, robbery, and murder. He joined Wagner PMC and was finally granted early amnesty," Shtefan writes.

Durakov was released on parole, but soon ended up in the colony again.
The Pavlovsky territorial department announced the death of a native of the village of Nyloga, Sergei Durakov, in the “special military operation.” He was imprisoned for drunk driving, theft, torture with particular cruelty, robbery, threatening to kill and murder. Durakov was born on December 14, 1976 in the local village of Nyloga, and died on January 8 in Bakhmut (the city’s old name Artemovsk is indicated in the publication by the Pavlovsky territorial department).
Durakov ended up in a colony back in January 2009. He was convicted for 8.5 years for theft and robbery with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim. A month later, he was convicted of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, torturing a group of persons with particular cruelty, threatening to kill and murder. In total, he was to spend 13.5 years in the colony.
On January 10, 2018, Sergei Durakov was released on parole. Less than 2 years after his release, Durakov again ended up behind bars. He was convicted of drunk driving and theft. After his release, Durakov was brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving in January 2019 - he was fined RUB 30,000 and deprived of his license for 1 year and 7 months. Nevertheless, in November 2019, he was again detained by the traffic police, Durakov again drove drunk.
Durakov’s parole was canceled and he got sentenced to new terms. Therefore, he had to spend 5 years and 2 months behind bars. His driving license was also suspended for 2 years and 8 months.”
