Ivan Tymochko, a serviceman and chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Tavria sector

He said this on the air of Espreso TV channel.

"The Tavria direction is very painful for the Russian forces. Fighting continues in the area of Robotyne. There is a serious threat to the enemy in the direction of Enerhodar and Polohy. That is, occupying Russian forces may lose a hub station in the direction of Polohy, and a power plant in the direction of Enerhodar. If these areas are broken through, then the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to spread their flanks. It will be possible for us to move towards Tokmak. Despite everything, the offensive actions of our troops have not been stopped," said Tymochko.

According to the serviceman, the events on the left bank of the Kherson region are one of the phases of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive.

"The Tavria direction is the way out towards Crimea. The advance of our troops will allow us to take full fire control of the Crimean bridge in the future. If the Crimean bridge is destroyed, the enemy's logistics will be destroyed. Given the fact that Russian ships are insecure in the Black Sea, there may be a threat of a blockade of Crimea itself. And this situation will force the Russian occupiers to retreat," added Tymochko.

  • Over the past day, the occupiers sharply increased the number of assault operations and air strikes in the Tavria sector. At the same time, Russian losses in manpower and armored vehicles increased.
  • A day earlier, it was reported that the Russian forces in the Tavria sector had reduced the number of attempts to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military, but continued to attack civilian infrastructure.
