Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade takes cues from UKs special operations forces - Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Katkov
Ukraine's 28th Detached Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign uses tried and tested tactics favoured by the UK's renowned Special Operations Forces - acting as rapid deployment forces who operate behind enemy lines
Oleg Katkov, editor-in-chief of Defense Express, shared this insight with Espreso TV.
"An extremely interesting video was published by the Ground Forces' command regarding the actions of the 28th Detached Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, which operates specifically in the Kherson direction. It is interesting that our fighters use the tactics of the British SAS," he noted.

"It consists in the creation of rapid deployment groups. They simply ride in buggies with heavy weapons - a machine gun or an anti-tank missile complex. These small mobile groups operate in raids on the enemy, which are carried out behind enemy lines, causing even more chaos. They destroy artillery, command posts, and communication stations. All this does not help Russian groupings gain strength," Katkov concluded.
