Ukrainian Armed Forces advance on southern flank of Bakhmut direction

Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar shared the information.

Russian forces attack in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.

"Our defenders have been bravely holding back the enemy and have succeeded. Intense fighting is ongoing. On the southern flank of the Bakhmut direction, similar to yesterday, Ukrainian troops are advancing with fighting, however, meeting significant enemy resistance. On the northern flank, the enemy launched an attack in an attempt to reclaim lost territory, but their efforts were in vain," wrote Maliar.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive continues in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

"Our troops have achieved success near the settlements of Novodanylivka, Balka Shyroka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novopokrovka, and they are currently consolidating the captured positions. The enemy is mobilizing units and utilizing all available reserves. As a result of our soldiers destroying enemy equipment depots on a daily basis, the frequency of enemy attacks has slightly decreased," the statement said.

• On July 12, the Defense Forces successfully held back the offensive of Russian troops in the east. They made progress on the flanks of Bakhmut while effectively neutralizing Russian forces in the south.
