Ukrainian air defense forces destroy 29 of the 31 UAVs launched by Russia

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information on Telegram.

"On the night of May 30, 2023, from 11:30 pm to 04:30 am, the Russian occupying forces once again attacked Ukraine with Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack drones. A total of 31 “kamikaze” drones were launched from the north and south," the statement said.

Thus, the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 29 attack UAVs. Almost all of the drones were destroyed on the outskirts of the capital and in the Kyiv sky.

In addition to Kyiv city and the region, air defense was operating in the Cherkasy region.

"We recorded a massive flight of enemy UAVs over our territory. Air defense forces were working. Fortunately, there were no emergencies," said Ihor Taburets, head of the Regional Military Administration.

At night, the defenders of the sky also shot down a drone over Dnipro region and two Shaheds over the Mykolaiv region.

• On the night of May 30, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 20 Shaheds near Kyiv, with debris hitting a high-rise building. As a result, one person was killed, people were injured, fires and destruction were reported.
