Ukrainian air defense forces destroy 16 Russia’s cruise missiles at night
On the night of August 15, the Russian military fired 28 cruise missiles of various types at the territory of Ukraine: 16 of them were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense
This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In total, the Russian troops fired at least 28 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles at Ukraine:

4 Kh-22 cruise missiles from six Tu-22M3 long-range aircraft based at Soltsy and Shaykovka airfields;

20 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from 11 strategic aviation aircraft based at Engels and Olenegorsk airfields;

4 Kalibr cruise missiles from a frigate in the Black Sea, near Yalta.
It is reported that as a result of the work of Ukrainian defenders, 16 Kh-101/Kh-555, Kalibr cruise missiles were destroyed. To eliminate them, air defense units, mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft, and direct cover units were engaged.
"In addition, eight launches of enemy S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles were recorded in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions," the Air Force added.

On the night of August 15, the Russian army launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. It is known that houses and enterprises were hit in Dnipro, Lviv, Lutsk and Smila in Cherkasy region. The attack resulted in deaths, injuries and destruction.
