Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces Commander visits Bakhmut, says all units involved in defense are fulfilling their tasks
Viktor Khorenko, the commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited Bakhmut to inspect his units, reporting that the tasks are being fulfilled clearly
Command of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared the update on Facebook.
Brigadier General Viktor Khorenko visited Bakhmut, where he inspected the work of his subordinate units conducting combat operations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"During the visit, the commander of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine got acquainted with the situation in the areas of operations and worked out a number of urgent issues on the ground to ensure and organize the work of the Special Operations Forces units," the statement says
"All the units of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine involved in the defense of Bakhmut are fulfilling their tasks clearly. Our soldiers are continuously working in extremely difficult conditions and are doing everything to reduce the number of enemy forces every day," said the SOF commander.
According to Khorenko, communication and interaction between all parts of the Special Operations Forces structure is extremely important in such conditions, and "a quick and coordinated response to the requests and needs of the units gives the best result on the battlefield."

Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary Danilov said that the situation in Bakhmut is extremely difficult, but under control.

Military experts are convinced that Bakhmut has fulfilled its tasks and the Ukrainian army can withdraw. Meanwhile the ISW said that Ukraine might prepare a controlled withdrawal of troops from some areas of Bakhmut.
