Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov shared the updates on Bakhmut during a telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"Bakhmut has been a hot spot for four months now. The situation is difficult, but we understand that this is our land and we have to defend it. There are the fiercest battles there. The situation is extremely complicated and difficult, but it is under control," Danilov said.
He emphasized that a huge number of invading Russian forces are dying in this area every day.

Serhiy Hrabskiy, military expert, member of peacekeeping missions, retired colonel, noted that if there was a risk of an enemy attack from other directions, Bakhmut's task was to reduce or eliminate this risk
