The Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) certificate allows the company to provide ACMI services ("wet leasing") and operate charter flights from other countries to Canada.

SkyUp has received permits to operate international routes to Canada for nine of its aircraft: seven Boeing 737-800s: UR-SQQ, UR-SQG, UR-SQP, UR-SQC, UR-SQF, UR-SQB, UR-SQO, and two Boeing 737-700s: UR-SQE and UR-SQD.
It is reported that as part of the certification, the carrier also received a charter permit and a CBSA carrier code from the Canada Border Services Agency.
For reference. ACMI services or "wet leasing" is the operation of an airline's aircraft, in which it is the lessor but retains full responsibility for aircraft maintenance. In other words, SkyUp leases its aircraft with crew, maintenance, and insurance to Canada on a long-term lease.
On May 6, SkyUp MT received the certificates and licenses necessary to operate flights to the EU and registered its office in Malta, which will allow it to launch regular flights from Europe in the future.
On September 25, SkyUp Airlines already had permission to fly in the United States.
