Ukraine's Prime Minister discusses creating mobile grain storage facilities with German Federal Minister of Food Özdemir
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal has met with German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir to discuss the creation of grain storage facilities.
Denys Shmygal shared the update.
"According to preliminary estimates, in October we may not have enough storage facilities for storage of 10-15 million tons of crops. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is considering the possibility of organizing mobile storage. I stressed that Germany's help would be valuable and timely," he said.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister discussed with the German Federal Minister for Food the role of Germany in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Denys Shmygal spoke about Ukraine's new economic strategy, which consists of a number of programs, including support for the processing and agricultural industries. He hopes that Germany will join the reconstruction of Ukraine.
"Providing grants to small and medium-sized enterprises for the development of these industries would be a strong impetus for the Ukrainian economy," he added.
