Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared the information.

Zelenskyy plans to meet with Trudeau in Ottawa and deliver a speech to Parliament.

Earlier, Zelenskyy's visit was announced by the office of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

"The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will visit Canada, from September 21 to 22, 2023. The two leaders will continue to work closely together to strengthen ties between our countries and help ensure the Ukrainian people can continue to defend themselves against Russia’s brutal and unjustifiable invasion. Canada will continue to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes," the statement said.

The two leaders will meet to sign an agreement to continue strengthening economic ties between the two countries. Zelenskyy will also meet with members of the Canadian government and deliver a speech in the country's parliament. Afterward, he will travel from Ottawa to Toronto to meet with Canadian business leaders to strengthen private sector investment in Ukraine's future.

"Canada, along with its Allies and partners, will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Ukraine for as long as it takes. In close coordination, we will apply more economic pressure on Putin’s regime until it respects Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty," Trudeau's office emphasized.

  • On September 18, Volodymyr Zelenskyy embarked on a visit to the United States, during which he participated in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, delivered an address to the Security Council, and engaged in discussions in New York with notable figures including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. Additionally, Zelenskyy met with the President of Brazil.
  • On September 21, during a meeting with US congressmen in the Capitol, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged them to approve additional funding for Ukraine.
