President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his address at the third meeting of advisers on the implementation of the Peace Formula in Malta, which took place on Saturday, October 28.

The president recalled that last year he had offered the world the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which consists of 10 points covering all aspects of Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The principles of the Formula were based on the principles of the UN Charter and the resolutions of the UN General Assembly approved by the world.

"Over the past year, our Peace Formula has gradually become global, because all of you have supported it or at least shown an active interest in working with it. This Formula has truly become a global one," Zelenskyy said.

He explained how the Ukrainian Peace Formula could help the world. According to the president, it can serve as a model for ensuring the full force of international law in the event of aggressions other than Russia's against Ukraine, help each country in its efforts to restore peace, and create "a new global tradition of unity - the kind of unity that, by helping to end the war in one country, helps us learn how to end all wars."

"Although there are no two wars alike, the Formula for Peace can and should be universal. We need a joint plan for its implementation to reflect not a particular national position, but the position of people, of all mankind. Such a joint action plan should be prepared within the framework of our cooperation and subsequently submitted to the Global Peace Summit - at the level of leaders - for approval and implementation. For the sake of peace. For the sake of the protection of every nation from wars," Zelenskyy stressed.

Zelenskyy thanked the countries, leaders, and institutions that joined the meeting in Malta and all those working for peace.

  • On October 28, Malta hosted a meeting of foreign policy and national security advisers on the Ukrainian Formula for Peace. During the summit, Ukraine and the Netherlands began negotiations on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.
