Ukraine comments on Russian naval activities after Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters destruction
Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Southern Defense Forces, noted that after the destruction of the Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters, there is a lull in Russia's naval activities
She said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Obviously, there is some confusion in the leadership after the destruction of the Black Sea Fleet headquarters. Because the use of missile launchers was haphazard and meaningless. They went out, came in, maneuvered along unclear routes with unjustified fuel consumption, without fulfilling their tasks. They were increasing the presence of ships, adjusting and replacing each other, i.e. demonstrating readiness. But they were still used to ensure that the command and control exists, that the leadership is in place and that the fleet can be combat-ready," said Humeniuk.
According to her, it can be stated that there is a lull in Russia's naval activities.
"Ships are now hiding more, looking for safe places to base and stay in the Black Sea. And we do not observe any exercises, which are mandatory for maintaining the fleet's combat capability," emphasized Humeniuk.
