Ukraine’s Office of President says Russian troops will be first to know Ukrainian counteroffensive plans, very soon
Advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, says that Russian troops will be the first to know when Ukraine launches a counteroffensive, and it will happen very soon
This was reported by Mykhailo Podolyak.
The President's Office commented on the leaks of secret US and NATO plans for a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, spread by Russia.
"If you have a working channel for receiving intelligence from the Pentagon, you will not destroy it for the sake of a one-day news story. If you have information about the enemy's level of supply and military plans, you will pretend that you do not have it. If you try to pretend that you know, then you know nothing. It's a bluff, dust in your eyes. You do not have the data, you are just trying to destabilize, to influence decision-makers with information and psychological influence," the advisor wrote.
Podolyak emphasized that Russia is trying to influence Ukraine's counteroffensive plans, spread doubt and intimidate by “being informed.”
"These are just standard elements of the Russian intelligence's operational game, nothing more. It has nothing to do with Ukraine's real plans. Rather, the published data is based on statistical analysis of supplies, possible operational and tactical plans, as well as a large amount of fictitious information," Podolyak explains.
The advisor adds that the war implies constant attempts by Russia’s intelligence to gain access to opponent’s data.
"If Russia had really received real scenario preparations, it would hardly have made them public. After all, it is much more profitable to prepare your own counter-traps, while leaving the other side in ignorance of your own knowledge. Instead, today's publication is an unconditional proof of Russia's exclusively operational information game," Podolyak said.
Finally, the adviser wrote about the real plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive. "Of course, the Russian troops will be the first to get acquainted with them. I would assume that this will happen very soon."
Earlier, classified documents detailing US and NATO plans to build up the Ukrainian army ahead of the planned counteroffensive have been posted on social media.
