Ukraine's Navy explains how its capabilities in the Black Sea have changed
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the difference between the capabilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Ukrainian Navy has decreased threefold
This was stated by the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, reports Military Media Center.
"If we compare the forces and means of the Russian Black Sea Fleet with the Ukrainian Navy at the beginning of the large-scale invasion, those ships and units averaged twelve to one. At present, due to the receipt of missile systems and other weapons from partner countries, the difference in these capabilities has decreased by three times," he said.
The military also pointed to the strengthening of our air defense system, which shoots down missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and "other scrap metal made in Russia and Iran."
Neizhpapa assured that all strategic approaches to Odesa region are under the control of the Navy and other units of the Armed Forces.
Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov also believes that the chances of Russian forces seizing Odesa are minimal.
