Ukraine's NATO, EU membership will guarantee European security for decades – FM Kuleba

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says that the future of Euro-Atlantic security will be determined by Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO

This is reported on the government's website.

“The Adriatic Charter facilitated the accession of the Balkan states to NATO. Ukraine is now on its way to membership in the Alliance, so we understand how important it is,” Kuleba said during a ministerial event of the Adriatic Charter at the invitation of his Macedonian counterpart, Bujar Osmani.

The Foreign Affairs Minister emphasized that Ukraine today is a guarantor of security for the entire Euro-Atlantic community. With the support of partners, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are deterring the enemy.

“The reality is that Ukraine's accession to NATO is in the interests of both our country and the Alliance itself. Ukraine's strength, resilience and bravery will make a significant contribution to collective security, as will a large, battle-hardened and interoperable Ukrainian army,” Ukraine’s top diplomat said.

Kuleba expressed hope that the Alliance is willing to see Ukraine as a member.

“Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO will complete the reformatting of the global security architecture and guarantee the security of the European continent for decades to come,” the minister added.
