Special Representative of the Government of the People's Republic of China Li Hui met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between Ukraine and China at the bilateral level and within international organizations.
"Dmytro Kuleba briefed the Chinese government's special representative in detail on the principles of restoring a sustainable and just peace based on respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that Ukraine does not accept any proposals that would provide for the loss of its territories or freezing of the conflict," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that the trip took place in pursuance of the agreements reached during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping on April 26.
Earlier, El Mundo reported the information, citing AFP.
One of the Ukrainian officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP that Li Hui is scheduled to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the evening of May 17.
