Ukraine’s fleet gains power in Black Sea - Ukrainian official
Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, notes that ships use the humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea, established by Ukraine
She shared the information on Espreso TV.
"We possess a significant presence in the Black Sea, and our strength and capabilities pose a credible threat to the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Although, the enemy is trying to put pressure from the air. In particular, the Russian tactical aviation continues to assert its dominance and exert pressure on civilian shipping near Zmiinyi Island, where they drop guided bombs," noted Humeniuk.
She reminded that there are many sea transportation routes near Zmiinyi Island.
"Thus, the enemy is trying to provoke trouble. In particular, by striking with the anti-aircraft bombers, the Russians can cause detonation of sea mines in the territorial sea of Ukraine. This could affect shipping. However, the trust in the Ukrainian Defense Forces by leading shipping companies is obvious. Ships continue to use the humanitarian corridor," emphasized Humeniuk.
