Ukraine’s Energoatom denies Russian statement on shutdown of all Zaporizhzhia NPP units

It is noted that as of May 6, there have been no changes in the operation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) seized by the invading Russian forces. The plant does not produce electricity and consumes it from the Ukrainian power grid to meet its own needs.
Five power units of Zaporizhzhia NPP are currently in a state of cold shutdown, the 5th power unit is in a state of hot shutdown, Energoatom reported.
“The statements of pro-Russian propaganda information resources regarding the complete shutdown of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant are not true,” the statement said.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, the statement by Russian terrorists about the possible shutdown of all power units at the Zaporizhzhia NPP may indicate that hostile provocations are being prepared.
