Ukraine’s Defense forces eliminate 610 invaders, 36 artillery systems and 8 tanks - General Staff

General Staff's report: 28 combat clashes took place at the front

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.

On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes near Sydorivka in the Sumy region and Veterynarne in Kharkiv region. They fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 25 localities in both regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled Russia's attacks near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Russia launched an airstrike near Petropavlivka and Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region and now continues artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled enemy attacks near Novoyehorivka, Luhansk region. Russian troops conducted airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and 3 more settlements in Donetsk region. They continue to shell with artillery and mortars at localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Zaliznianske, Klishchiivka, and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. Russia launched an airstrike near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. Over 20 localities were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army launched an airstrike near Avdiivka, Donetsk region. Over 10 localities of the region were shelled with artillery.

In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the vicinity of Marinka. Russia launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka and fired artillery at 6 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian Federation launched air strikes in the areas of Vuhledar and Staromayorsk. Over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from artillery shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled hostile attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. The Russian enemy conducted airstrikes near 3 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region and fired artillery at more than 15 localities of the region.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near Mykhailivka, Kherson region. Over 15 localities of the region were attacked with artillery fire.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery activities.

Russians unsuccessfully attempted to advance near Novoyehorivka and Klishchiivka, heavy fighting continues

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Melitopol directions.

In the Robotyne-Novoprokopivka direction, Ukrainian troops have been successful, consolidating their positions and firing artillery at the identified enemy targets.

"In addition, in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, the enemy launched unsuccessful offensives near Novoyehorivka and north of Klishchiivka. Heavy fighting continues," the General Staff added.

Russian army carried out 40 air strikes and fired 51 MLRS attacks on Ukraine

Over the past day, the Russian enemy carried out 40 air strikes and fired 51 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 14 Russian artillery units and an ammunition depot

Over the last day, the aviation of the defense forces carried out 11 strikes on areas of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, 2 - on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Over the day, missile and artillery units struck 1 area of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, 14 artillery units at firing positions, 1 ammunition depot and 1 Russian anti-aircraft missile system.

• The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive in the west of Zaporizhzhia region and have advanced to the Russian fortifications in the village of Verbove.
