Ukraine's counteroffensive goes on battlefield, in diplomacy, economy and information sphere - Defence Intelligence of Ukraine
The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov said that Ukraine's counteroffensive continues directly on the battlefield, as well as in diplomatic, information, economic and many other spheres
He emphasized this in an exclusive interview with the Espreso TV channel.
"Of course, Russia maintains the potential to exert informational and agent influence abroad. And they are trying their best to say something like that, that they shouldn't support Ukraine, that they should immediately stop supplying it, stop where they are, leave the Russians with everything they stole, and so on. The Ukrainian offensive continues and continues directly on the battlefield, as well as in the diplomatic, information and economic, and many other spheres. These are complex issues and we can see the results. I think that the calendar is not the kind of thing where we should give Putin an invitation to conditionally liberate some large Ukrainian city. It will be unconditional. It's just that maybe someone in the world thinks that this is a short fairy tale, where the dragon attacked first, and then everyone quickly fought back and everything is fine. No, it's not like that.
It's a Netflix series, everyone is sitting and waiting for the development of events. Somehow, in the opinion of the average person, everything is too focused on one episode," Yusov said.
The Defence Intelligence representative emphasized that although the Ukrainian counteroffensive is progressing slowly, its results can be considered successful.
"These are really complicated events that involve the loss of lives of our defenders and in conditions when Ukraine does not have the necessary advantage in forces and means in any of the directions, as a matter of science. In conditions when the issue of aviation is still being discussed. What we are doing and the fact that the Ukrainian military and political leadership is planning how the Ukrainian security and defense forces are advancing are good results. Given the fact that we are advancing, but the number of Russians killed is many times greater, these are good results. And the fact that we hear every day about the destroyed forces and means, including, of course, destroyed artillery depots, artillery installations, armored vehicles, is, of course, everything that will allow us to advance faster tomorrow. And the comments are very good and interesting. I am convinced that sitting in some distant warm country, far away from Russia and the Russian invasion, you can comment on many different things in different ways," he added.
