Ukraine's army defeated 11 Russian artillery units, 40 combat engagements took place in 3 frontline areas - General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning update on June 29.

Russian invaders keep focusing their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka sectors. Over the last day, 40 combat engagements took place there.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 11 times at enemy concentration areas, 5 times at anti-aircraft missile systems and 1 time at an enemy command post. 

In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian Su-25 aircraft and 3 tactical reconnaissance UAVs.

Over the past day, missile and artillery units destroyed an ammunition depot, 11 artillery units at firing positions, 3 air defense facilities, 2 electronic warfare stations and another important enemy target.

Russia conducted 50 air strikes and fired 52 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian territory over the last day

Yesterday, the Russian invaders struck with Iranian Shahed UAVs.

Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed six drones. In addition, the Russian military launched 2 missile and 50 air strikes, fired 52 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, Russia has launched an air strike in the area of Ruska Lozova, Kharkiv region, and fired mortars and artillery at more than 25 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

In the Lyman direction, Russians attempted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Razdolivka. They also carried out air strikes in the vicinity of three settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. 10 localities in the sector were shelled with artillery

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka and Bila Hora. They launched an air strike near New York, Donetsk region. Over 15 settlements were damaged by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy made unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Avdiivka and Sieverne. At the same time, an air strike was conducted near Avdiivka, and more than 10 localities were shelled with artillery

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the town of Marinka, while the enemy launched an air strike there. At the same time, Russian troops fired artillery in the vicinity of about 10 settlements.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces failed to conduct an offensive in the direction of Novomykhailivka. They carried out air strikes near Prechystivka and Makarivka in the Donetsk region.

More than 20 localities were shelled, including Kostyantynivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, Vilne Pole, Storozheve, Blahodatne, Makarivka and Rivnopil in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russia's main efforts are focused on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Levadne and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region. Russian troops shelled about 30 localities with artillery.
