Ukraine's Armed Forces liberate 6 Luhansk region settlements
Ukraine's Armed Forces continue to liberate the Luhansk region from the invading Russian forces. As of the evening of October 5, there are 6 confirmed de-occupied settlements in the region
The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, said this on the Freedom TV channel.
"We know that the Ukrainian military has already de-occupied six settlements in the Luhansk region," he said.
Haidai did not name exactly which settlements were these for security reasons, noting that he would wait until official information from the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff. The thing is that the invading Russian forces, getting to know about such settlements, begin to actively shell them and try to simply raze them to the ground.
Serhii Haidai noted that people in temporarily occupied villages and cities are waiting for Ukrainian soldiers.
"We have a reaction not only from those who live in the liberated settlements. Sometimes they even write to us from those territories that have been occupied since 2014. Everyone is waiting for liberation. These are the scariest, longest, and most difficult seven months for every citizen of Ukraine, even if he was not under occupation. This war affected everyone," he said.
In addition, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration called on residents of the occupied territories, if possible, to move further from the front line or stay in shelters while active hostilities continue, and to be as careful as possible, because the Russian forces, retreating, mine vast territories.
