Ukraine's Armed Forces liberate 5 settlements near Lyman
Ukraine's Armed Forces have liberated the Yampil, Novoselivka, Shandryholove, Drobysheve, and Stavky settlements
This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces, Serhii Cherevatyi, on the air of the national telethon.
"The Russian group is surrounded in the Lyman area. The settlements of Yampil, Novoselivka, Shandryholovove, Drobysheve, and Stavky have been liberated, and stabilization measures are ongoing there," Cherevatyi said.
According to him, about 5,000 Russian soldiers were surrounded in the Lyman area.
"There, indeed, our data showed that the Russian group numbered 5,000-5,500 soldiers in the area. However, active hostilities "minus" their combat composition, as well as some groups that tried to break through. That is, establishing the exact number of Russian forces still requires analysis to name the exact number," Cherevatyi noted.
