Ukraine's Armed Forces liberate 1,620 settlements from invading Russian forces
Since February 24, 2022, Ukrainian troops have de-occupied 1,620 Ukrainian settlements from the invading Russian forces
This was reported by the Deputy Head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
He noted that work on the restoration of the electricity supply is ongoing in the de-occupied territories. So, in Izyum, the light was turned on at the Izyum bread factory, which will provide work for 1,500 people. Ukrposhta (Ukrainian Postal Service - Ed.) has started work. A program to restore electricity to 10,000 residents has been launched as well.
Power has been almost completely restored in Balaklia: about 15,000 residents have electricity. In Kupiansk, almost 4,000 residents have electricity. More than 116,000 residents are left without electricity in the de-occupied Kharkiv region due to problems with the electricity supply.
In the Kherson region, police officers are already working in liberated points, if possible, with the aim of restoring law and order and documenting war crimes. Some of the de-occupied settlements received humanitarian aid. In addition, three branches of Nova Poshta (Ukrainian Postal Service - Ed.) have started their work. Measures to restore energy supply and mobile communications are ongoing.
Tymoshenko also reported that work on the restoration of destroyed targets is ongoing. Thus, 1,204 targets were restored in the Sumy region, 1,147 in the Zaporizhzhia region, and 1,804 more in the Mykolaiv region.
