Ukraine's Armed Forces have almost ideal situation in the south - Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Katkov

Russian troops will not be able to leave the bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region in full force - this allows Ukraine's Armed Forces to destroy them with long-range weapons and exhaust their resources

Oleh Katkov, Editor-in-Chief of Defense Express, said this on Espreso TV.

"There is not much official updated information from the General Staff. OC South reports about the destruction of significant forces. Over the past few days, the equipment of a full-fledged battalion-tactical group has been destroyed," he noted.

Katkov noted that Ukraine's Armed Forces are advancing.

"The Russian Federation on the bridgehead in the Kherson region is very similar to a macaque that put its hand in a box and grabbed a banana. It cannot let go because there is no intelligence and greed is getting in the way. In general, the situation for Ukraine's Armed Forces is almost ideal - the Russian enemy will not be able to go anywhere from this bridgehead in full force," the military expert emphasized.

According to him, this allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to destroy the Russian forces extremely effectively with long-range weapons and exhaust their resources.

"In this case, there is no need to complain that in the south the successes may be less extensive than, for example, in the Kharkiv region and in the Lyman area. Each of these operational zones fulfills its task. The south is extremely profitable in the state it is in now," Katkov concluded.
