Ukraine's Armed Forces carry out 12 airstrikes against enemy Russian troops, repulse attacks near 10 populated areas, hit area of Russian army manpower, equipment build-up 

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Defense forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Mayorsk, Vyimka, Spirne, Ozeryanivka, Zaitseve, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vesele, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka settlements.

Missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the current day hit the control post, as well as 2 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

Air defense units shot down 2 enemy drones.

The day before, on October 3, in the south of Ukraine, the Armed Forces hit up to 30 enemy targets.

"The enemy is demoralized, leaves positions, retreats to a safe distance, destroys ammunition stocks, tries to destroy bridges and crossings. All this - with the aim of slowing down the pace of the advance of our troops," the General Staff reports.

Russian invaders are trying to hold the temporarily occupied territories, to disrupt the active actions of the Armed Forces in certain directions, they are conducting an offensive in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions, and they are regrouping.

During the day, civilians and facilities in more than 12 settlements, including Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Andriyivka of Dnipropetrovsk region, Bakhmut, Zaliznychny, Voznesensk, and Prydniprovsk, were damaged as a result of hostile actions.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in Russian Kazan, the recruitment center forms three motorized rifle and two artillery regiments on the funds of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School.

At the same time, the occupiers continue to use criminals recruited in prisons in Ukraine - units of Russian private military companies are staffed with these individuals.

The training of these persons for further sending them to the front is carried out, in particular, in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region in the so-called "training centers".
