Ukraine's air force explains danger of Bal coastal missile system, which Russians may moved to Bryansk region

It won’t be easy for the air defense forces to respond to attacks from the Bal missile complex, which the Russian occupiers have probably brought to Bryansk region. The flight speed of these missiles is very high

Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force Command, said this during the telethon.

This missile system uses Kh-35 anti-ship missiles.

"Of course, these missiles fly quite fast, and it is difficult to respond to them. You can use some other means, but I think that the systems that can intercept ballistics can handle them. Unfortunately, anti-aircraft systems will have a hard time with missiles flying at over 3,500 km/h," Ihnat said.

Patriot and SAMP/T systems can destroy ballistic missiles, but Ukraine does not have enough of them.

The Air Force spokesperson noted that it is easier to destroy the installations that launch these missiles than the air targets themselves.
