Zelenskyy doesn't like idea of government of national unity

All of us want change. Change for the better

So that war is replaced by peace, destruction by reconstruction, and the feeling of exhaustion and burnout is replaced by the experience of victory.

But how? Only through the maximum concentration and effective use of all the resources available to Ukraine and its partners: material, psychological, and organizational. Human resources.

"50% of Ukrainians are positive about the initiative to create a government of national unity as a broad association of all patriotic forces in and outside of parliament. Only 13% have a negative attitude, and 33% have a neutral attitude," I quote the KIIS press release about their survey conducted in late September 2024.

And also, from the commentary of Executive Director Anton Hrushetskyi: “The situation with the government of national unity is more complicated and shows a significant dependence on the wording of the question. For example, at the end of 2023, we asked about attitudes towards such a government, but specified that it would include a coalition of the Servant of the People, EU, Fatherland, and Voice. In such a construction, 37% were positive and 19% were negative. According to the results of the current survey, we see that when it comes not to individual political forces, but to the broadest association of various patriotic forces (in particular, outside the parliament), support is much higher. In this context, we recall that most Ukrainians support criticizing the government, but they want it to be within constructive limits. In other words, there is a general demand among Ukrainians for unity and support for cohesion as an important factor in defense.”

We did not hear about the government of national unity in the presentation of the much-touted Victory Plan by the President in the parliament. The idea of sharing power and responsibility has somehow been "off his mind" for 2.5 years. Perhaps because the very idea of a government of national unity is associated with Poroshenko. But, as we can see, his other ideas (Army, Language, Faith) have already "sunk in" with the Ukrainian people and President Zelenskyy. Therefore, the government and the new model and system of government in general must also "catch on." A government that is "sharpened" for victory not in elections (internal struggle), but over an external enemy.
