Zelenskyy arrives in France
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in France on the evening of 16 February
Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
"Paris. A meeting with President Macron and an important agreement are planned. Our cooperation gives results in protecting the life of Ukraine and our entire Europe," Zelenskyy wrote.
What is known about Zelenskyy's visits to Germany and France
Earlier, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that on Friday, 16 February, Zelenskyy would visit Germany and France and hold talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Macron.
During his visit to Germany, the two countries signed a "security cooperation" agreement, and the German leader announced a new €1.1 billion aid package for Ukraine.
On 17 February, the Ukrainian president is due to speak on the main stage of the Munich Security Conference and will also hold a series of bilateral meetings.
L'Express, citing the French presidency, reported that French President Emmanuel Macron and Zelenskyy would sign a security agreement between the two countries at the Elysee Palace.
