Ukraine will not ask permission to use its own weapons to strike Russia - NSDC Secretary Danilov
Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov says Ukraine will strike at Russia's territory with weapons of its own production if necessary
Danilov made the statement in an interview with Current Time.
According to him, Ukraine has promised that it will not use the weapons received from its Western partners to strike Russia and emphasized that there are no restrictions on their use on the temporarily occupied territories.
"There are such agreements, and we will definitely comply with them. But as for the use of our own weapons, we can use them wherever we see fit. And if necessary, we will use it on the territory of Russia to destroy, first of all, those missiles that hit our cities. We should not ask permission to use our own weapons," Danilov said.
When asked what kind of weapons Ukraine possesses, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said that it is not a secret.
"This is not a secret. We have the same weapons as Russia, these weapons are left over from Soviet times. And we have our new developments that show excellent results. I want to remind you that the Moskva cruiser, which sank to the bottom of the Black Sea in April, was struck by a missile produced in our country. They are modern, they have just entered service. We also have a few of these missiles, and there are others," Danilov said.
